So Rhaenyra woke up from the dream and donned a gown in black. ![]() Even if the love was overshadowed by his need for a son. Even in anger and grief she could not deny the love he had for her mother. She should not be the one to lift this burden.īut her mother was the love of her father’s life. She had lost her mother and she was a child. Even during her mother’s funeral Daemon had told her how her father needed her. Her uncle reminded her that they were the blood of the dragon. “A Targaryen alone in the world is a terrible thing.”ĭaemon had often said those words before. He took whatever family she had and left her to grief all alone while he locked himself up in his rooms. Lost because she was not enough for her father. Meanwhile in Westeros everything went downhill after the king's second marriage (the author decides how bad things are and if Rhaenyra and Daemon come back or not). Rhaenyra and Daemon get married in their house tradition, have children and are happy, (they can rebuild Valyria, create a new empire and rule over all of Essos, or just have a peaceful life, whichever the author prefers). Rhaenyra, finding no comfort anywhere and feeling betrayed by two of her most beloved people, flees (the place is decided by the author) and Daemon, upon learning of her, follows her and decides to stay with her, to hell with Viserys, the throne and all of Westeros. On the other hand, Alicent justifies herself before Rhaenyra in her duty to follow her father's orders according to Faith, to which Rhaenyra reminds her of her hypocrisy because Faith itself says that women must be pure before marriage (it can be a very difficult discussion public with many witnesses/gossipers). Viserys tries to reason with Rhaenyra, but she stands her ground, to which he uses her authority as her king to command her. Rhaenyra, angry, disappointed and hurt by the lack of respect towards her mother, tells Viserys that he must choose between her and his marriage to Alicent. Otto, trying to save the situation, plays like the victim and proposes the marriage between the king and his daughter, and Viserys accepts the proposal. Rhaenyra, after Daemon's banishment but before the Stepstones' War, dreams with her mother who tells her "A Targaryen alone in the world is a terrible thing", so she decides to visit her father, just to finds him in the bed with Alicent, she makes a scandal that attracts servants and courtiers alike, so everyone in the Red Keep quickly finds out what happened, ruining Alicent's reputation. -ish cause daemyra are v obvious but slowĭawn of Daemyra Fest, Steel Raven's Nest, HoTD collective, BAMFRhaenyra, A better Known World, Fire and Blood, Daemyra101 Stats: Published: Updated: Words: 65,234 Chapters: 28/?
